Wednesday Night Speed: 5 x 4 mins (errr… but really on Tuesday night since I’m leaving for vacation…)
Yep… I’m still behind, oh well it happens. Let’s just try to get a little caught-up. I usually try to coordinate my trips and vacation around Wednesday Night workouts but this one was a bit of a fail. We traveled Wednesday to Thursday. Yep missing two Wednesdays, the sacrifices one makes for vacation.
Don’t worry, I emailed my coach for workouts and he sent me three and I quickly realized that there was no way I was going to run three hard workouts on vacation. I figured my best shot was to get one in before I left and on while on vacation and the last one would be a bonus.
So enter Tuesday night. After a crazy long day and rather pathetic attempt at packing I started my warm-up.
I opted to run on the eastside instead of Greenlake which proved to be a very good life choice since there was some naked guy on the loose at Greenlake. For reals he attacked two people and allude police for hours.
Okay, back to the workout. My coach informed I’d be running these at 6:00 minute mile pace and I thought he was crazy. I even checked with him to make sure the pace was correct and it was. Well if he thinks I can run it I can… right?
6:07 (I was being conservative), 6:01, 5:59, 6:02, 5:59. And the best part? They felt great! I mean really great! No better way to kick off a vacation.
